"I feel like this experience has made me understand myself a lot more because I have had to be so self-sufficient and also establish lots of new connections with people. I feel a lot more content within myself and my capabilities and also feel much more resilient to handle new situations and cope if things don't go the way I planned. The best stories come from things going wrong in the beginning!"
Lucy, Semester Exchange at Sogang University, South Korea

"I gained some amazing friends, that I will definitely be seeing again whether I go there or they come here. Learning resilience after being in situations where you can only rely on yourself. The perception of how much there is to explore and the other worlds that are out there that are different to our own is very interesting."
James, Semester Exchange at University of Twente, the Netherlands
"I gained a lot of experience in international travel and trust in myself to get from A to B safely in a city I don’t know too well on the other side of the world. When you do these things completely by yourself and come out the other side, you feel like you can do anything. It’s stressful, it’s a lot of work, a lot of effort, and in the end a lot of time away from your life here in Australia, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that 99% of people don’t experience once in their lifetime. It’s so worth it."
Joel, Semester Exchange at George Mason University, USA

"The biggest benefit of studying overseas is not only learning about a different culture, but you're also able to do your own personal travelling too. There are still assignments to do and you have to get that done but if you manage your time right you can do weekend trips to places. The good thing was I was in the UK and I did a weekend trip up to Edinbrugh and others went to Paris or Amsterdam. ."
Anna, CIS Australia Summer School Program, UK
