This three-week program is designed for students who want to learn about Japan, including contemporary Japanese culture, animation, games and traditional Japanese cuisine. Students will also have the chance to participate in various types of Japanese cultural activities, such as Yuzen dyeing and making Japanese traditional sweets.
Participation in this program does not require any Japanese language skills, so this is a great opportunity to explore "Cool Japan" and add a global experience to your studies.

- Available to eligible UniSA students taking part on an approved short term study overseas experience in 2025.
- Free Flights* funding is limited and will be awarded until allocation is exhausted per round (Round 1: early-2025 programs, Round 2: mid-2025 programs)
- Free Flights* will be awarded as a monetary grant to a value of $1,500 for Asia Pacific destinations and $2,500 for UK, Europe and North America. Students must book their own flights (or request the UniSA Travel team to assist).
- All students who apply to UniSA for a 2025 short study overseas program will be automatically assessed for eligibility and Free Flights* availability. Students will be notified if they have been allocated Free Flights* in their initial outcome email.
- Free Flights* are non-transferable and only available for the experience in which that are initially allocated. Students who decide to defer or change study experiences will need to reapply.
- Students may only receive one UniSA Travel Grant for the same experience (e.g. $500 UniSA Travel Grant or Free Flights).
- Students may receive external funding in addition to the Free Flights*, (e.g. a New Colombo Plan Grant or an OS-HELP loan).
- Standard UniSA Short Term Eligibility requirements apply
- Students must agree and adhere to the Terms and Conditions for Participation.
- Prior to receiving payment students must complete all pre-departure, and other mandatory requirements, as directed by UniSA International
- Award of Free Flights* funding is subject to availability and is at the discretion of UniSA International
- **Please check the program providers website for up-to-date prices - as well as inclusions and exclusions. Program costs are subject to change without notice.
